B&W was born in late 1980s when Joe Baker, a classic car restorer and Joe Works, a farmer, began to apply their skills to build custom truck beds to provide for their families. At that time, trucks came with gooseneck ball permanently welded in the bed of the truck. It wasn’t easy to install. It was neither the most convenient hardware nor cheap.
